The enchanting Christmas markets will become the backdrop for your tales of ghosts and the sinister side of the city. Flecky will also wait impatiently whilst he allows free time to explore the St Ann's square Christmas market. And to round off the night why not take advantage of a 2 for 1 offer on Manchester's big wheel! The walk starts at the normal time and place but will finish at 9pm and all this for the unbelievable price of £6 & £5!

"FLECKY'S NOT JUST FOR HALLOWEEN, BUT FOR CHRISTMAS TOO"

Underneath the city centre are tunnels which date back to the Victorian times.
These tunnels are the home to the 'Forgotten People' of Manchester. They are known as 'The Night Nurgers' and Flecky is their leader. His eyes are the colour of frost and he dresses in what he finds as he wanders the damp dark underworld. He survives by scavenging on what the public have dropped down the sky-grids or what the putrid black rivers provide. But now he wants more, more for himself and his people. To provide his people with income for their needs Flecky rises to ground level a few times each week to entertain the mortals who want to hear stories of ghosts and about the sinister side of his city.

When a ringing bell is heard approaching!
Flecky’s coming!
Will he like the look of you!
Will he think you're brave enough?
When the town hall bell chimes the hour, your night belongs to Flecky!
The Tour:

OXFORD

Oxford, the city of dreaming spires, boasts one of the worlds greatest - and oldest - universities, as well as some of the finest architecture in Europe. The colleges themselves, which make up the university, are amongst the architectural highlights, their ivy-clad stone walls protecting beautiful chapels, halls and libraries. The grandest of all the colleges is Christ Church, home to Oxfords cathedral and the universitys largest quad. So atmospheric is the colleges dining hall that it was chosen as a key location in the Harry Potter film Hall. Here we will linger so you can relive the magic of the film and learn about the traditions of college life. Your guide will tell you about the colleges famous students, which include Albert Einstein and Lewis Carroll, who wrote his enchanting tales of Alice in Wonderland here. Before visiting Christ Church you can even take tea in the shop where the real-life Alice bought her sweets! Our trip to Oxford promises an unforgettable experience for young and old alike

STRATFORD-UPON-AVON

The birthplace of William Shakespeare, the greatest writer in the English language, and home to the theatres of the world-renowned Royal Shakespeare Company, Stratford is a charming market town set in the heart of rural England. A delightful river winds its way through the town, past the beautiful Holy Trinity church, where Shakespeare lies buried. There are some wonderful half-wooden buildings that date back to Shakespeares time, including the famous cottage of Anne Hathaway, who married the great writer in 1582. You can even see the school Shakespeare attended. Our tour includes a visit to Shakespeares birthplace, before we enjoy lunch in a 15th century inn in picturesque Cotswolds* not included.

WARWICK CASTLE

This is, quite simply, the greatest medieval castle in Britain. With a history that dates back over 1,000 years, Warwick Castle will take you back in time - to a world of sumptuous banquets, bloody battles and royal splendour. Enter over the footbridge and explore the castles ramparts, towers and gardens. The castle really brings history to life. Visit the waxwork displays of Madame Tussauds, where you can watch, and hear, the Earl of Warwicks preparations for battle. Feeling brave? Then take a look at the ghostly dungeons where prisoners were tortured. Alternatively, relax with a stroll through the castles beautiful gardens.
As the sun begins to set we board our boat for a Champagne cruise along the river Thames taking us all the way back to London. What a day!

LEEDS CASTLE

Described as the "loveliest castle in the world", Leeds Castle was once a Royal residence for six of Englands medieval queens, a palace of Henry VIII, and a retreat for the rich and powerful. The setting is simply idyllic. The Norman castle was built on two small islands, in the middle of a lake, and is surrounded by a vast estate. Our day begins with a private viewing prior to the castle opening to the public. We will explore the chapel, galleries, courtyards and banqueting hall before taking time to enjoy the setting and wildlife, which includes wildfowl, black swans and the birds of the aviary.

DOVER

Youve heard of the famous white cliffs of Dover? This is your chance to see them. Following our scenic drive along the old coastal road overlooking the cliffs. On a clear day you can even see France. Dover itself is an historic port with a magnificent 12th century castle.

CANTERBURY

After lunch we then enjoy a festive visit to the ancient city of Canterbury. The city has been the centre of Christian worship for almost 1,700 years. Its greatest treasure is the cathedral, infamous as the setting for the brutal murder of Thomas Beckett in 1170. When Henry II snapped "Who will rid me of this turbulent priest?", four of his knights rode to the cathedral and sliced Becketts head off. Canterbury became the centre of one of the most important medieval pilgrimages in Europe, immortalised by Geoffrey Chaucer in The Canterbury Tales. Your ticket includes entrance to the Cathedral and also allows some free time to explore the atmospheric old town.

GREENWICH AND THAMES CRUISE

Packed with exquisite parks, gardens, and architecture, Greenwich has strong connections with the sea, science, sovereigns and time. As the early evening approaches we enjoy an exclusive Champagne reception, as we gently cruise back to the centre of London. We will pass by historic sights such as the Tower of London, Big Ben and the Houses of Parliament, before arriving at Westminster pier where our tour ends

Whilst at Canterbury you will have a chance to enjoy the Christmas services in the cathedral (subject to cathedral service timings). We then head for Dover where you will enjoy a traditional Christmas lunch which includes a traditional roast turkey with all the trimmings which is followed by delicious Christmas pudding. Soak in the fabulous views of the White Cliffs while enjoying your Christmas lunch. In the afternoon we visit Greenwich for a walking tour before returning back to London.
